The Gio Marble Platter in black is made from marine black marble sourced from the mines of Udaipur, Rajasthan India. This marble originally became popular due to its close resemblance to Italian Black Marquina Marble. The 3 marble sphere bases of the platter are made on a turning machine & hand polished to bring out the beautiful bright shine. Natural variations will always occur & each piece is unique. The Gio Platter is food safe, however due to the natural elements of marble, liquids & oils can absorb quickly, leaving permanent marks so protect from heat & avoid direct contact with liquids & oils.
